{ 3 Nights, 7 shirts}

I sewed my little guts out last weekend
while Tyler was out of town and
it was so much fun. I had 3 nights and a
goal to complete 7, 90 Minute Shirts by MADE,
for Trey and one for his cousin. Needless
to say I completed my goal with out
the lack of too much sleep and now Trey
has 6 new shirts for summer! Yay!!

A BIG thanks to those who donated their
D.I. bags and husbands shirts to make this possible!!!

{The Coolest thing ever....}

Casper Dog Sled Races
This is probably on of the coolest events I've
ever been too. I have come to realize that
an event doesn't have to be just absolutely
amazing and cost lots of money to make it
the best event ever. But what does matter
and what made this so fun for me (i don't know
about the rest of my family) but for me it was that:
1. We were together as a Family
2. It was Free
3. It was an event I will probably never
see again in my life
4. It was so fun
5. It was amazing...and
6. I've never seen anything like it before.
What an amazing site to see a team of dogs
and their "Musher" come running in to the finish.
A "Musher" is the Dog sled team driver.

And what was even more amazing was to see how
passionate these dogs are to race. It takes a whole
other "team" of people to hold each dog at the starting
line because they are jumping, wailing, and anxious to run.
We learned some of the Dog sled racer jargon.
Musher Commands:
Mush: Lets go
Gee: Turn right
Haw: Turn left
On by: Straight ahead or pass the distractions
The Huskies are absolutely beautiful. I loved watching
these dogs. People came from all over to participate in
this charitable event. They have special trailers
that have about 6-10 kennels built in for the dogs
to travel in. The races ranged from 1 mile to 18 miles.
And the teams where made of anywhere between 4-8 dogs.
They had other events such as the 100 yard dashes that
young kids like 6 years old could do with 1 dog. And
an event called sojourn where a team of dogs is pulling
their driver on just ski's instead of a sled. We didn't get to
see these events...Addie got cold and when she's
cold she's not a happy camper. I could have stayed
there all day and watched the races but at least
I have pictures to remember it all.
I'm so glad we went!

{Cake Decorating class: Final Week}

A HUGE Thank you to these
wonderful ladies who would not give up
on me until I agreed to get out of
my comfort zone and take this
class with them! And a husband that
was more than supportive and willing
to watch the kids so I could go
to this class....And I'm so glad I did it!
The final product.
We had to make and ice our own cake
do a decoration that we've learned then write
on our cake.
Tyler will finish up his Family Practice rotation today
so I wrote "thank you" on the cake and sent it with
him to take to the office where he's been rotating
for his last day! It was a fun class and I learned
a lot of good tips and techniques that will make
it easier when it comes to making birthday cakes!

Valentines Day 2011}

Happy Valentines Day!

We had our traditional Red and pink dinner
(pink dyed spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, strawberries, and pink dyed butter for our bread, and raspberry ice crystal light!)
The evening sky decided to be festive too!

Then we started our Valentines F. H. E. by making
heart shaped sugar cookies.

Then while the cookies where cooking and cooling
we opened our Valentine bags.....lots of candy,
heart crayons, love, and homemade Valentines!
And we finished off the night with hugs
and yummy cookies!!!

{ Toy Story "4" Birthday}

The Little Miss turn "4" on Feb. 9, 2011

So we celebrated ALL day!

It all started bright and early when Addie realized that the
Balloon Fairy had come. Her room was filled
with colorful balloons in honor of her Birthday.
Then we ate Addie's favorite breakfast...
breakfast casserole. After breakfast we got
ready and headed for school with a pan full
of Lollipop Cookies to share with Addies class.
This was what Addie requested we bring
for her birthday snack at school. They were a hit!!

After school we met up with Daddy at
"Old McDonalds" for a birthday lunch.
Unfortunately, the play place was closed for
cleaning when we got there. Addie was
crushed...but her Happy Meal made up for it!

We came home and rested for a little bit
and got the house ready for her party.
When Daddy got home (thankfully he
got off early) We headed to the movie
theaters to see a matinee of Tangled. This was the one
thing Addie wanted to do for her birthday.
And she LOVED it! It was such a cute show!
Now for the party....

Let the TOY STORY party begin!

The party decor and cake table!

Opening presents!

Making her wish and blowing out those candles!

The awesome guests that came to celebrate with us!
Sandy, Jamie, and Alex Rupp
Doug, Rachael and Caitlyn Cook
And Jaime and Ashtyn Mayo!
Thank you all for coming!

And here's the goods!! As if she didn't get enough
Toy Story stuff for Christmas....I think we've maxed
out our possibilities for Toy story gifts at this point.
She loved it all and is thrilled with her new
Toy story presents!

And last but not least Addies sweet little friend, Ashtyn gave these fun Window/mirror crayons for her birthday. They are so fun and Addie has created a masterpiece with them. Whew! What a day. What a night. We partied all day and we were all exhausted by then end of the night. But we had so much fun and thank you to all those family and friends who made Addies day so special!

{Cake Decorating Class Week: 3}

This week we learned how to make
Cupcakes, Mums, leaves, and flowers!

The mums are the stringy looking things on top
of the cupcakes. They were fun to make. Although
mine didn't turn out very well. We also learned
the technique to make leaves and flowers. We
also learned the proper way to ice our cupcakes
and make them tall! I'm having so much fun
learning these new things and practicing them.
Next week is our Final week where we will
put to use ALL the things we've learned and
make and properly decorate a full cake!

{Tuesay Delight}

Every Tuesday we have the privilege of
babysitting this sweet little boy. He
is pretty much the BEST baby ANYONE could ask for.
The kids absolutely adore him.
(which gives me hope when we have a 3rd kid!!)
Trey particularly likes to play with him.
And likes to give him lots of kisses...its cute!
And they are so good with him.
Trey and Addie are great helpers and
get so excited when they know he's coming over.

He's such a sweet little guy and we sure enjoy
having him with us every Tuesday!

{Cake decorating class: Week 2}

Week 2: Bake a cake, make your own icing,
bring all of your equipment (bags, tips, etc.),
and learn how to do dots and dragged out dots.

Then put those dots and dragged out dots to
use and make a cute cup cake decoration
on top of your newly iced cake!
I'm loving this class. It is so much fun
learn something new then apply it
and come home with a fun creation!!
Next week: Cup cakes!

{Sunbathing....in February}

Yep thats right...in the comfort of our
own home. Although we are
experiencing some frigid February
weather and we can't really go outside for
fear of frost bite...I am so thankful for the
sun shining through our windows today and for my
kids who showed the same gratitude as they
cuddled up on the couch cushions to feel
the warmth coming through the windows.
And I'm grateful for Addie's imagination as she
pretended we were all at the beach laying in the
warm sand. And then I taught them how to catch
sand crabs. And they took turns showing me with
their hands cupped all the imaginary
sand crabs they had found!!
....Oh how I long to take my kids to the beach
and explore tide pools with them....
Someday we will I promise!!!
I love these kids. And I'm SOOO Thankful for every minute
I get to spend with them.
