TOY STORY CHRISTMAS 2010

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE....

This Christmas eve was a little different for us.

We've never had our own Christmas Eve/Christmas since

we've been married. So we invited some other couples

over that couldn't go home for Christmas and the Missionaries

to join us for a nice dinner and gingerbread house making

to follow. With everybody's contributions to dinner it

was a very delicious meal!

Tyler and Addies little house turned out so cute!

They worked very hard on it...actually Tyler worked

very hard on it and Addie worked really hard at

eating the candies. I didn't get pics of mine and Treys.

it kinda got destroyed before it was even finished.

And a Salt Lake Temple gingerbread house

constructed very carefully by Elder Hansen

and Elder Christiansen. We had so much fun having

them join us for Christmas Eve. After all our guest

left we let the kids open up their Christmas Eve

presents which are traditionally...pajamas!!!

By this time of the night it was late and the

kids were sooo ready for bed which made it nice

for Christmas morning because they didn't get up

until 9 a.m.!

Looks like Santa did make it to our house this year!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

The kids had so much fun Christmas morning!

Tyler even surprised me this year...

with a new sewing machine!!! I have to

admit I considered myself very spoiled.
I didn't see that one coming!

And this was our Toy Story Christmas......

Addie got her Jessie doll, Trey got the movie,

and they both got Toy Story juice bottles, buzz and woody shirts and

buzz socks to top it all off!

We had such a great Christmas. It was so relaxing,

and nice to have Tyler not stressed about school

or work. We took our time opening presents,

ate breakfast around 11:45 a.m. and had a very

nice lazy Christmas day. Then that lazy day continued

into the next day(Sunday) which made it even better!!

Then Monday rolled around and it was back to reality

for all of us...ugh.

Visiting Family for the Holidays!

Tyler finished up his last rotation for the year

on Dec. 16. So we packed up and headed out that night

for St. George to visit family before Christmas.

We drove through what seemed to be the frozen

tundra of Wyoming. With fog settling in keeping

visibility low and -14 degree temps and a recent

snow storm it truly looked like a frozen tundra outside.

And not to mention very very very cold.

Fortunately we have a great half way stop where

we were able to spend the night at my Sisters house

in Highland, UT then traveled the rest of the way

St. George the next morning. I am so thankful that our kids are such

great travelers. I guess they have no choice...but no

matter they are great in the car.

We started off our trip with nothing better than

going to the temple. Tyler's sister, Amy and her

husband, Rob who were married last December were

sealed in the St. George Temple on Dec. 18, 2010.

What a special time to be in the temple

with all your family. We are so happy for them!

And just for the record...it rained 24/7 thee entire

time we were in st.George.

We then got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa

Hansen and the rest of Ty's family and Addie and Trey's

sweet cousins. Addie loves all her cousins but she

definitely has a special place in her heart for her older

cousin, Easton. They love playing with each other and

building things together. Addie also got to go see her

cousins, Cloee and Kaycie, perform in their dance recital.

The Sunday before Christmas while at Ty's parents house
we had a wonderful family gathering which included
a delicious holiday meal, a nativity puppet show,
opening of Christmas presents for everyone, and
the playing of games, games, games! It was a great
evening.

Trey loves the train at G & G Hansens house. This train
has been around for at least 20 years and still going strong. He thought
being the tunnel for the train was pretty cool!

We then spent the last couple days of our trip with
G &G McFadden. We had our own little Christmas
present exchange while we were there and the kids
got to open even more presents! We also have a tradition
when we're at my parents house
to take a walk in their neighborhood to
a house that is completely covered in lights. The pictures
don't do it justice. The owner starts putting up lights in
October. And of course bedtime stories with
Grandma Rosie are always a hit!

My brother, Marty and his sweet little family flew

out from Seattle, WA to spend Christmas with

my parents. We were so excited that we got to

over lap a day with them so we could hang out

and let Trey and his cousin, Damian pal around

together! And they did just that. They thought it

was so funny to get their blankies and put them

in their mouths! The last night we were there

after the kids were in bed we stayed up and

played games. Gotta love that time with family!

We headed out early Dec. 23rd to make our 10.5 hour

trip back home in one day so we could be back in good

time for Christmas Eve!!

When life gives you 5+ inches of snow.....

......make a snowman

Better yet make it a cowboy snowman

because you live in Wyoming

Or how about a santa snowman

Either way, i think it turned out pretty cute

and the kids had a blast building their cute little

snowman.

Heres our 5+inches of snow.

Addie knocked off all this snow after I took the

picture and about an hour later it had already

another inch starting to pile up.

Addie and Trey sure love the snow!

It was beautiful to wake up to

a fresh 5 inch blanket of snow that had quietly

fallin through out the night.

They called this their "forest"

Yay for snow!! Bring it on...we can take it!

I still love love love this picture even though you can't see his face.

(And FYI the blue wall was NOT enhanced in any way.

It was that blue and a fun spot for pics.)

I love my HOT GQ husband! I wish he'd wear those

sweaters more often!!!

After doing pics by the old warehouse's we walked

over to the rail road tracks and hopped on some

empty trains that had pulled in that day.

This awesome railroad car had cables

and trusses on it so it made for some

cool silhouette pics.

• You love to watch football with Daddy
• You love watching the garbage truck every Monday morning come pick up our garbage

• You love Daddy's Thai food
• You love to play with and wack things with sticks
• You're a typical little boy thats forsure
• You give the BEST kisses and hugs
• You love to play Hide N' Seek and are really good at it.
• You love to say hi to people

You make us all smile everyday!!

Let the celebrating begin...

Its offically December...Yay!!

The kids can't get enough of their very own tree.
Thanks to a local thrift store we found this pre-lit

beauty for only $4 and it now has a new home

is in the kids play room.

Thanksgiving 2010

We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving here in Casper this year.

We had many Thanksgiving dinner offers for which we feel so

blessed. We ended up going to the Norcross's home where we

enjoyed a wonderful turkey meal and a movie! Dr. Norcross

is the ENT doctor that Tyler rotated with in October. It was

so nice to share this wonderful Holiday with great people.

We were also fortunate to have the whole weekend together

as a family...meaning Tyler did not to have work all weekend.

We watched LOTS of football, shopped, did chores around

house, hung out with friends

and put up all our Christmas decor and Christmas Tree!

I'm so Thankful for my wonderful family...my amazing

husband and ever so energetic, happy kids!

Things to remember about November...

We started out the month driving down

to Provo, Ut. to join the rest of my

family for my sister's wedding!

Congrats Marie and Ian!

After that where we had BEAUTIFUL weather we

came home to snow...in fact our first snow of the season.

The kids loved it. For about 3 days straight it was routine

to get them all bundled up 2-3 times a day and send

them outside to play for only like 10-15 min....sometimes

I didn't know if it was really worth it!!! Then all the snow

melted.

However, Addie did manage to create 4 cute bucket

snowmen and snow women with our 2 inches of snow.

There is one for each member of our family!

Then one evening we decided it was time to introduce

to the kids the delicious art of pudding painting.

After talking to my sister-in-law on the phone

about how she does it all the time with her kids I decided

to give it a try. I think it was a hit!

I have to admit...there was dual purposes in doing this.

I LOVE chocolate pudding...so it worked out well for

me and the kids!!!!

Then one Saturday morning we went to a Casper Oilers

Hockey game. This is the youth hockey team here in Casper.

We went to support one of the Dr.'s sons that Tyler

has rotated with and who we've become good friends

with his family.

Trey's latest obsession....
Addies flaring pink cowgirl boots!
He loves to wear them around the house
and even dance in them...but then again
what doesn't he dance in?? When Trey
hears music his body starts moving no matter
where he is or what he's wearing!
I couldn't help but get the back side of this
little stud. It was to cute to resist!

And last but not least a wonderful Thanksgiving to top
off the month.....
