I packed 2 boxes today!

Would you like to color with me???

I hear this question about

20 times a day. Addie LOVES to

color, paint, water paint, etc.

She is getting better at staying

in the lines and coming up with

drawings by herself. She used

to have me draw a picture for her

first then she'd color or paint it.

But now shes developing some of her

own skills for drawing. We've been working

on the Color wheel and the 3 Primary colors.

Still working on Complementry colors though.

So I decided it was time to share some

of her masterpieces with you....

This is her latest creation.

"The Happy Cookie Monster Family"

She found a little bag of googly eyes amoungst

my craft stuff and asked me if she could make

a cookie monster "because cookie monster has eyes like

these." Sure why not? So she sat down at the table

grabbed her blue marker and this is what she came up with.

Shapes and some extra scribbles. She was practicing
so hard to stay in the lines. Shes getting better and better
every time!

"Color Wheel"
We started with the Primary Colors and made
all the other colors from those 3 colors.
And she wrote her name on her painting to top it off!

What a lucky girl to have 2 wonderful Grandparents to
inherit this talent from...because i'm pretty sure
she didn't get it from her parents!!!

The babies have arrived!!!

We went for our almost daily walk

to the mail box today

and checked on the nest as we've been

anxiously awaiting their arrival

Wait no more..their here in all their

bald and somewhat feathery beauty!!! ha ha. Not the prettiest things

but very fun to see!

(so how did those big babies fit into those small

little eggs...really?)

I got Spoiled!

*Woke up to a beautiful planter of Gerber Daisy's
*Had Rhodes orange rolls for breakfast...Mmmmm...one of my favorites!
*Went to church...
*Got a rose and chocolates...and just when I thought this day couldn't get any better it did...
*I got to take a nap and while I napped....
*Tyler and Addie spent hours making me dinner.
*It included all my favorites: BBQ Ribs, Artichokes, Strawberry spinach salad, rolls, and one of my most favorite desserts ever...LUSH...simply divine!!! (Tyler did everything on his own...sure love this man!)
*Ty did ALL the dishes
*We went for a family bike ride
*Opened a few fun presents
*Called my sweet mom
*Played with the kids on our bed before bedtime
*Into bed they went soundly and quietly
Thank you Ty for the Best Mother's Day EVER!!! I love you!

Nestled with Care....

We went for walk today

and found something neat.

Something blue, something round,

and will soon say "tweet tweet"!

(we were careful not to disturb and later

found mother bird at the nest. We can't wait

to see the babies!)
